Cancellation Policy

Withdrawals or Drops

Drop requests are completed through the OpenEd Student Portal under “My Enrolment History”. There will be a drop button to the right of the course you wish to be removed from. If you are unsuccessful contact Open Learning and Educational Support at info@OpenEd.uoguelph.ca

Refund Policy

  • A full refund will be issued provided Open Learning and Educational Support (OpenEd) receives a drop request at least 30 days prior to the course start date.
  • If the drop request is received by OpenEd after 30 days and before the end of the first week of the course, a full refund, less a 20% administration fee will be provided.
  • No refunds will be provided after the end of the first week of the course.
  • Failure to take part in a course does not constitute notification of withdrawal and will result in the forfeiture of the entire course fee.

Should you decide not to continue after the course drop date, you must still send in a completed drop form prior to the 40th day of class to avoid academic penalty (receiving a grade of ‘F’ on your academic record).
